Music Courses
Holy Cross is the proud home of our Music Program with over 200 students currently enrolled. We offer a variety of music courses/extra-curricular courses such as Concert Band, Concert Choir, Jazz Band, Vocal Jazz, Jazz Combo, Music Composition/Technology, and many more smaller ensembles such as Strings and Praise/Worship Band. Drama Courses
In Drama we explore, create, rehearse and refine dramatic works through collaborative and individual performance, and reflect on dramatic works and aesthetic experiences. We engage in a variety of learning opportunities such as Warm-Ups and Trust Activities, Self reflection, Improvisation, Scene Work & Characterization, and Film Study. At the Gr. 11/12 level we also do Script Writing & Analysis and One Act Productions.
Visual Arts
The Visual Arts curriculum is designed to enable learners to explore the world through an artistic lens and to express their ideas, opinions, beliefs and emotions. You do not have to be an artist or have any visual arts background to take the course at any grade level. Artists will experiment and explore using a variety of mediums and processes. To become more creative, students will require patience, a readiness to take risks and willingness to try new approaches, and techniques.
